Hello, I would like to know how to set a factor as constant in the qualitative modelling. For example Rainfall will increase Pasture, but Pasture does not decrease Rainfall.. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: I suppose that if no arrow points to a factor, that it will stay constant?

You are right - any exogenous input factor can either be a time series, a formula dependent on time or random or a constant value.
Of course, you can make an endogenous factor a constant, too, but than the validation pops up.

Thanks! A funny thing happened while in qualitative modelling: I set a factor to a constant (rainfall), then then I could see a graph but not related to the expected evolution of factors.. I wanted to go back to qualitative, but it seems that I could not get rid of this formula: if I delete everything inside the formula box, I get an error message about validation.. perhaps we need something that says if we are in qualitative or quantitative mode...

Usually you don't change that often between qualitative and quantitative modeling. However, when you switch from the view of formulas to that of properties, for the last formula there pops up the validation message. Just click on it and you get rid of it or switch to another factor while in the properties modus and the message should vanish also.

But I agree that we should make it easier to understand and see the differences between qualitative and quantitative modeling.
