Post subject:  Auto-Layout DRIVES ME CRAZY

Although I thought I am an experienced Modeler, i am new to iModeler.

I despair putting a model together while the iModeler for Windows all the time destroys it by enforcing some unreadable standard-layout arranging all present nodes in one line, well going beyond the borders of the program window. So I work hard to arrange a cobweb-like structure of factors, and as soon as I add another one or even minimally enlarge the window, and - SNAP - everything jumps back to incomprehensible.

What is my mistake / how can I prevent this???

It is a feature - not a bug :D
Nevertheless, we will fix it
You need an automatic layout to allow for collaborative modeling and to allow for quick modeling, e.g. facilitating a workshop. The trick is to change perspectives to get a better look on the overlapping connections. The feature that allows for a temporal change of factor's positions is just for screenshots and presenter-entries.
However, the fact, that the factors are arranged on a horizontal line annoys us, too. Therefore we are currently improving the autolayout significantly. But that is yet a secret ;)
